Dear Colleagues, In France, pre-anesthesia evaluation for elective procedures is a two-steps process: (1) a medical anesthetic consultation is required for all patients at the latest 48h before the procedure, and (2) a pre-anesthesia check-up performed by an anesthesiologist to check for any new medical event since the medical consultation; this needs to be performed within the 24 hours before anesthesia.
