Dear colleagues,

It has been a great pleasure to meet you all in Lisbon at the annual meeting 2022 Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Anaesthesiology at the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal from 29 September to 1 October 2022. After 2 years of absence because of the travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic crisis, we were very pleased that more than 450 attendees from over 50 countries from all over the world have attended our congress.

It has been a great conference with a large variety of lectures among others on monitoring, burns, and scalds, education on periprocedural care, and over 100 abstracts for oral and poster presentations, interactive workshops, and problem-based learning sessions.

The welcome drink was very nicely brightened up by the Fadus Special Events.

During the morning on Friday about 30 attendees endured a morning run of 6 km along the riverfront to the Torre de Belém. On Friday evening we had our traditional congress dinner and dance which was attended by 200 people.

We think the conference was a magnificent moment for everyone to finally meet each other again.

We hope to see you all in Prague in 2023!
