This year’s congress has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 18.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Accreditation Statement Each medical specialist should claim only those credits that reflect the time actually spent participating in the educational activity. Through the agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Full details on the conversion process can be found here: AMA Credit Conversion. Additionally, live educational activities occurring outside of Canada and recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are considered Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) under the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Credit Conversion: One (1) hour of participation equals one (1) credit. Physicians wishing to convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ must access the AMA website to complete the necessary paperwork and will be required to pay a processing fee.
