Subject:<\/span><\/b> Call for nominations for ESPA officers and Executive Board members<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Members of the European Society for Paediatric Anaesthesiology,<\/span><\/p>\n

As chair of the ESPA Election Committee and on behalf of the Executive Board, I cordially invite you to nominate candidates for the forthcoming elections of new officers and members of the Executive Board of the European Society for Paediatric Anaesthesiology.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are required by the ESPA statutes to elect new officers and an Executive Board this year to lead the Society. There are vacancies<\/b> for treasurer<\/b> who will take office in September 2018, President- elect <\/b>who will take office in September 2019, and three other members of the ExBo<\/b>, all of whom will take office in September 2018 for a term of office of two years.\u00a0 A number of the sitting Executive Board members will be standing for re-election. <\/span><\/p>\n

All active members<\/b> have a vote in the election which will take place in the coming months.\u00a0Active members will be kindly asked to renew their membership and pay their membership fee before voting. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first step in the election process is to invite nominations in order to draw up a list of candidates. Any active member<\/b> can nominate any other active member(s)\u00a0or him- or herself either as a candidate for honorary treasurer, President \u2013 elect, or as a member of the Executive Board. <\/span><\/p>\n

You are requested to submit nominations on the accompanying Nomination Form<\/b> by e-mail to info@euroespa.com<\/a>. If you would like to nominate more than one candidate, please use a separate copy of this form for each candidate. The deadline for nominations<\/b> is March 15th, 2018<\/b> after which no nominations for this election can be accepted. <\/span><\/p>\n

When completing the nomination form you must include the candidate\u2019s name, postal address, e-mail and phone number as well as your own contact details. It is the duty of the person who makes the nomination and fills in the form (the nominator) to confirm that the nominated candidate agrees both to stand for election and to submit to the Executive Board an\u00a0election\u00a0statement<\/b> of not more than 250 words<\/b> to support his or her nomination, by April 1st, 2018<\/b>. <\/b>This should also be submitted by e-mail to info@euroespa.com<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the statutes the Executive Board will also make nominations to the offices of honorary treasurer, President-elect, and the positions of members of the Executive Board.\u00a0 These and all nominations received by the members will be announced together with further details of the election process after April 15th, 2018.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

After the nominations have been received, they will be collected and verified by the Election Committee, comprising\u00a0of two members of the Executive Board and myself. <\/span><\/p>\n
