The ESPA Guideline Committee has identified guidelines, written in English, which may be of value to those involved in anaesthetising children. Some are in the form of pdf documents; others are links to websites where the actual guidelines can be accessed.

These guidelines have been sourced from the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetist of Great Britain and Ireland and the European Resuscitation Council.

The guidelines have been divided into three sections; Emergency Care, Treatment and Safety.

ESPA has developed a series of Action Cards for use with the Emergency Care guidelines. Each Action Card outlines the tasks involved in dealing with a specific emergency situation. These can be downloaded and laminated, and be available wherever children are anaesthetised.

Dr. Richard Corry has made major contributions in the development of the ESPA action cards.

National Guidelines

ESPA has started collecting all national European guidelines on paediatric anaesthesiology with aim to create a comprehensive and unique source of information for its members and all other interested parties.
In this section you can find both the documents in original languages or guidelines officialy translated into English. If you wish to contribute with your national guidelines to our database, do not hesitate to contact us at secretary@euroespa.com or info@euroespa.com
